Daniel J. Kolecki

In loving memory of Daniel J Kolecki, age 54, suddenly passed on May 6, 2023.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dan Kolecki proud member of Local 73 Sheet Metal Union. Dan was a very caring, fun-loving person and would help anyone at the drop of a hat. He touched the lives of many people especially his family members. Dan is survived by his soulmate Paulette and her sons that they raised for 33 years together, Mike and Matt. Devoted son of Ron and the late Judy. Cherished brother of Roy (Julie) and Carrie (Scott). Proud uncle to his adored nieces and nephews, Alyssa, Kelsey, Lucy, Charlie, Max, and Henry.

Dan was born into a family of hardworking Sheet Metal Workers and was destined to follow in his father’s footsteps. At the age of 18 he joined Local 73. For many years Dan worked with his brother and father. He then got Mike and Matt into the trade. Dan was very passionate about many things including cooking, trying new recipes, and traveling with family to exciting places. He was very active, often taking vacations to go on long bike rides in new places. If you knew Dan, he always had to be doing something, he couldn't sit still. Even though he was taken too soon he did everything he wanted and lived his life to the fullest. He is now in Heaven watching football and telling jokes with his cousin Timmy/Wheels. 

Memorial Visitation Saturday, May 13th from 12 p.m., Noon until time of service 3 p.m. at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights.

Inurnment will be private.
