Henry J. Barsch Sr., Army Veteran of the Vietnam War, 101st Airborne and recipient of the Bronze Star. Beloved husband of Beverly Barsch (nee Valiery). Loving father of Henry Jr. (Bernadette), Kari and Steven (Lisa) Barsch. Proud grandfather of Henry III, Brian, Julien, Sarah, Olivia, Daniel and Isabella. Dear brother of Eleanor Bocian. Cherished brother-in-law and uncle of many. Henry was a retired Chicago Police Sergeant, served 15 years with the Office of the Cook County Sheriff as the Executive Assistant Director for the Office of Professional Review & taught for over 20 years at Richard J. Daley College. Visitation Sunday, April 14th from 2 until 9 p.m. Funeral prayers Monday, April 15th 9:30 a.m. at the Kerry Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights to Saint Alexander Church, Mass 10:00 a.m. Entombment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
