JOHN DAMHORST

JOHN DAMHORST of Oak Forest, IL passed away at age 68 from Multiple Myeloma. He was married to Rita (nee Gash) & is father of Scott (Kristy) from Acworth, Ga. Brother of Walt (Pam) of Davenport, Ia. Uncle to many & friend to all. Graduated Christian Bros. HS in Quincy & was in the Navy & served in Vietnam. Transferred from Quincy in 1986 with Illinois Bell & was a cable splicer for 30 years. He became a contractor for AT&T & taught classes till his 2nd retirement in 2006. He was active in soccer in Quincy & Oak Forest, & was a Board Member for the OF park district & high school. He was a big fan of his fantasy football league, & fishing. He was preceded in death by his son Derek, brother Roger & sister Joan. Memorial Visitation Friday, January 24th from 2 until 9 p.m. at the Kerry Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights. Family & Friends will gather Saturday, January 25th at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Resurrection at Saint Damian Church, Oak Forest. Interment Private.
