ohn J. Trencan D.P.M. Army veteran of WWII, 3rd Army, 816 Battalion of the Army Corps of Engineers, Battle of the Bulge. He was the recipient of 2 Victory Medals, 4 overseas service bars, good conduct medal European-African-Middle Eastern Theater Ribbon with 1 Silver & 1 Bronze Battle Star. Beloved husband of Arlene (nee Anderson) Trencan. Loving father of Paul (Barbara), Laura (Martin) Lovato, Liz Wimmer, John Jr. & James Trencan. Proud grandfather of Jennifer, Arlene, Hannah, Matthew & Ian and great grandfather of Elle, Quinn & Oliver. John was a Podiatrist for 52 years, graduated from Northwestern University, grew up in the Roseland neighborhood where he was a member of the Gopher Club as a Junior Gopher and in 1940 was a Chicago lifeguard stationed at Rainbow Beach. Visitation Sunday December 2nd from 2 until 9 p.m. Funeral prayers Monday December 3rd, 11:00 a.m. at the Kerry Funeral Home to Saint Alexander Church, Mass 11:30 a.m. Interment Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
