John Michael Freimuth

John Michael Freimuth ‘Papa’ suddenly passed away in the comfort of his home from heart complications at age 82. Since 1972 John was a resident of Palos Heights, IL. John was born and raised in Sheboygan, WI where he went to Central High School, class of 57. He started his studies at Stevens Point College and transferred to University of Wisconsin in Madison where he studied Business Communications. John graduated from Lakeland College now Lakeland University earning a BS degree in Business Economics, class of 64. John lived out his dream for working for himself and started his own company, John M Freimuth & Associates where he designed and sold business forms to many companies, but mainly hospitals. John enjoyed the outdoors and absolutely loved hunting, fishing and collecting decoys. He thoroughly enjoyed playing basketball and loved watching college football bowl games, March Madness and the Green Bay Packers. He looked forward to yearly trips to Canada with friends and family vacations to his hometown Sheboygan, WI. His love for sports allowed him to coach his daughters, Erika and Gretchen, in softball and later became the commissioner for the girl’s softball league at St. Alexander Church. He thoroughly enjoyed watching his daughter and grandsons in all their sports. He volunteered for the Lion’s Club and helped in many capacities. John loved entertaining and enjoyed grilling many delicacies for friends and family at his home on 71st Ave where he and his family made many lifelong friends. He thoroughly enjoyed how his backyard mimicked the forest preserves and attracted many ducks and wild animals that became his friends and frequented for his handouts. Beloved Husband of the late Janet S. Freimuth (nee Gross). Loving Father of Erika (Donny) Carter and Gretchen Freimuth. Cherished Papa of twin grandsons Jax and Kenny Carter. He was the uncle of John Graff, Julie (Adam) Bloomenstein; great uncle of Leah Perle and Stefan, Vicki Graff, great uncle to Dominique, Jeff (Deborah) Leicht, great uncle of Jennifer and Jacqueline, June (David) Miller, great uncle Joseph and Katie (Christian), Julie Barth, great uncle of Matt (Caitie) and Todd. He leaves behind his cherished cats, George, Squeaky, Kona & Fluffy. He was preceded in death by his mother, Henrietta, father Edward Freimuth from Sheboygan, WI and his sister Diane Graff (nee Freimuth) from California. Visitation Friday, December 10th from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. Chapel prayers Saturday, December 11th, 9:30 a.m. at the KERRY FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CARE CENTER, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights proceeding to Saint Alexander Church, Mass 10:00 a.m. Interment will be private.
