Joseph M. Engerski, of Palos Heights, IL peacefully passed at age 88.
Beloved husband of Lois(Berg).
Loving father of Joseph (Nancy), Marvin (Dot), Cynthia Campbell (Jerome); Trevor (Lauren) & Tanner (Samantha), Gae Skager (Edward); Kristen (Derek Marion), Kevin & Lauren, Margaret Wiehoff (John); Rachel, Theresa (Dane Warming) & Michelle, Lisa Cohen; Kyle (Yasmin) & Erika.
Great-grandchildren; Liam Campbell, Peter & Teddy Marion, Hadley & Tatum Warming and Aubrey Cohen.
Survived by brother Jerome (Judy) and many nieces and nephews. Dear brother of late Robert (Marilyn).
Preceded in death by parents; Joseph and Genevieve (nee Gawlinski).
Devout Polish Catholic, Knights of Columbus, Mechanical Engineer Purdue University, Vice President Verson International, singer, accordion player, Polka dancer, church lector, volunteer, joke teller, avid golfer, skier, sports enthusiast. Go Bulls!
Resided in IL, PA, Belgium & England. Traveled the world speaking many languages with a zest for life and love of people. His vibrant personality would light up any room, building friendships in all his endeavors. Joe is greatly loved and will be dearly missed. Gratitude for those who loyally cared for him in his final years. Included are his dear friends,family, Oak Hills neighbors, caregivers Angela, Donna, Lucy, Rita, Janina and a host of doctors, nurses and those at Palos Community Hospital. We are grateful for your compassion.
Family & Friends will gather Saturday, June 10th, 11:30 am for a Memorial Mass of Resurrection at Saint Alexander Church, 7025 W 126th Street, Palos Heights.
Interment will be private.
