Loving step-father of Michelle (Keith) Schultz, Elizabeth (Gregory) Stanek, and Laura Gamauf. Adored grandfather 'Gruncle' of Hunter, Zoey, Daphne and Jonathan. Preceded in death by his beloved parents; George and Marie, and brother Fr. James Jakes. Dear brother of Georgene (late Leonard, late Dominick) Zibits-Fiorillo, Laverne, Anne Marie (Morris) Westerhold, Kathryn (late John Taylor), Dolores (Robert) Harris, Mary Clare (late Philip Carrigan), and George. Legendary uncle of many nieces and nephews. Special great-uncle to many more. Dedicated accountant, financial planner, and parishioner of St. Alexander Parish. Visitation Wednesday, February 28th from 3 until 9 p.m. Chapel prayers Thursday, March 1st, 10:45 a.m. at the Kerry Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, 7020 W. 127th Street, Palos Heights proceeding to Saint Alexander Church, 7025 W. 126th Street, Palos Heights, Mass 11:30 a.m. Interment will be private.
