Dennis Wayne Kuchan

Dennis Wayne Kuchan, 93, of Palos Heights, IL passed peacefully on December 4, 2024. Born October 4, 1931 in Chicago, IL, he was the beloved son of Catherine E. and Dennis J. Kuchan. He is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Nancy L. Kuchan (nee Heimbach). Cherished father of Mark (Sharon) Kuchan, Kurt Kuchan and Sharon (Bill) Holohan. Adoring Papa of Carlyn (Andrew Feit) and Daniel Kuchan, Caitrin, Maggie, Brynn and John Holohan. Dear brother of the late Dorian (Gene) Armstrong. Fond uncle and dear friend to many. Wayne graduated from Lindblom Technical High School, attended Purdue University, and served in the United States Army in Bordeaux, France. After being discharged, he worked with his father at Metal Cabinet and Fabricating Company and later founded Metal-Rite Inc., which is still operating after 58 years. Wayne loved music (Petula Clark, Doris Day, Matt Monro & Frank Sinatra), golf, basketball, bowling, poker nights, donuts, numerous family vacations, happy hours with neighbors, swimming laps, beach walks with his wife Nancy and sunsets on Siesta Key along with the occasional cigar. He loved to be present at many of his grandchildren’s events. He truly valued his friendships and called his buddies often. He was a proud member of the Croation Fraternal Union. His Catholic faith was most evident in the way he lived his life. A funeral mass will take place on Monday, December 23rd at 10am at Our Lady of the Woods Church in Orland Park, IL. Private family interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
